Wild monkey love or tender Sarah McLachlan love?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Allison acted reasonably in her role as protector of GD and Eureka. She doesn't have the luxury of intellectual curiosity that Tess or Henry might want to indulge.

For some reason I find it incredibly distracting that the sheriff's badge has seven points. It's so irregular.

On the similar tip of things people have on their chests, I like Henry's "Mayor" patch.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Agreed. It would actually be quite remiss not to get every bit of defensive hardware possible ready in case the origin of the signal turned out to be hostile, just because Dr. Cadman would like to think it's ET coming for a friendly visit.

I do think the snide guy who viewed unannounced missile launches over a population center as fun-n-games should have had a bit closer oversight from Allison, though.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Watching my Eureka 3.0 DVDs, trying not to fastforward through the Lexi scenes, but it's really really hard.

Interesting deleted Henry/Jack scene from I'm not sure which ep.

Also interesting that the time travel eps, which are also the Big Death eps, as well as the strongest Relationship eps (romantic and otherwise, imo), are my two favorite of all three seasons thus far.

But, Lexi dear, please depart with your Dr. W.H.O. soonish.

Actually, no, I take that back. Leave your man behind so he can keep bonding with Fargo.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just got the BSG 4.5 dvds, and I'm listening to the audio commentary on the finale first. Did y'all know that when they were casting for the series, they were on the verge of getting Michael Moriarty for Saul Tigh? It would have been strange seeing Ben Stone from L&O as Tigh.

There's a cute bonus feature on the second disc of Eureka 3.0 with Bear McCreary and Jaime Paglia. Bear is a cutiehead. And Jaime better not be teasing about doing a musical ep.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Enterprise is an odd inclusion on that list also because I don't think of it as a spinoff. I suppose it technically is one, but at this point isn't the ST universe broad enough that each new show is just another chapter in the saga?

(And yes, Galactica 1980 was much much much worse, on just about every level imaginable.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am watching a movie on SyFy called (wait for it)

"Kaw."

I will give you one guess regarding what it is about. This movie is not good and yet I cannot yet look away.

Ha! LeN - I was inexplicably watching the same thing... but I fell asleep. I'm embarrassed to admit that I kind of want to know what prompted all the ravens to attack. Did you make it far enough to find out?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I saw the last 30 minutes. So I don't know why they attacked.

I figured this was belated Poe revenge?

JenP - Aug 09, 2009 4:13:57 pm PDT #9338 of 30001

Ha!

I suspect that even if we'd both watched the whole thing, we might still not know why the attacked.
