The count of three isn't a plan. It's Sesame Street.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found the male leads in Defying Gravity to be charismatic to a fault, so it drew me right in.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was disappointed that Podell faded into the woodwork (bulkheads?), but at least he's still pretty.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I find its future not very future-y and I keep getting confused about what they are doing in space (I thought for most of the first hour that they were going to Antares - my fault for not paying enough attention, but the confusion remains). I'll try to watch the second hour tonight with a little more care.

What year is it set? They've managed to outlaw abortions and pregnancy tests (but not vasectomies, which is weird) and I'd love to see the justification and timeline for that.

I think 2052, but I could have gotten that wrong. That number was on screen at one point.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, I think it is 2052.

I thought the first two hours of "Defying Gravity" weren't terrible. But they sure as shit better explain Beta pretty soon, or I'm out. I'm more interested in the scifi than the romance.

Compassionately intolerant

I really like Rob Livingston, and tend to trust the projects he chooses.

I have been thinking that 'Beta' is a slightly less creepy version of the 456. I think I've been scarred.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Ron Livingston is from Cedar Rapids, IA. So is -as I found out over the weekend- Ashton Kutcher.

Iowa geek.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

What channel is Defying Gravity on?
