It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

He's doing this in case there's even one tiny piece of world mythology that hasn't been abused by Stargate and Hercules.

It also sounds like he's been reading Neil Gaiman.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Browder's super-cool. I'm there.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It sounds pretty cool! I do love me some Greek mythology. Even if SciFi can't spell Ares' name properly.

I agree. It just sounded a little like American Gods to me.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

New Amsterdam:

Damn, Nicolaj whasshisface is pretty. The "why yes, I taught history in Columbia back when it was called King's College" shtick kinda makes me want to smack him across the mouth, but the rest of the time, I really like looking at him. After the interesting reveal last week, the connection in the current story to the flashback in this one was tenuous at best, plus the soulmate angle is giving me acid flashback to Dawson's Creek (except... well, have I mentioned I liked looking at him when he's in a flirty mode?) and they're giving the female partner next to nothing to do. But still, like someone on my Flist said earlier, he's reminding me of the young David Duchovny circa seasons 1-3 X-Files -- not quite as sharp, and maybe a bit warmer, but the same tall lankiness, same floppy brown hair, same large, imperfect nose, etc. The writing on the show is mediocre at best, but I suspect it'd be one of the shows I'll end up continue watching for the eye-candy factor.

The Leaves of Grass reference = cue @@.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Speaking of eye candy, was the Enterprise episode they're currently airing written by fangirls? Connor Trineer's been bouncing and jiggling around the ship in his underwear for half an hour now.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

one of the shows I'll end up continue watching for the eye-candy factor.

Vonnie is me. Nikolaj is pretty, despite so many plotholes and incongriguities (sp?!) and needs for handwavium possibly rivaling SGA, although I was intrigued mightily with the false-recovered memories angle and then disappointed with the follow-through and application of the subject.

Wish Eva would get on with her narcotics application and get gone soonish, because the actress' portrayal and the writing of the character bore me to tears.

I suppose, like how I used to watch SGA for the Shep, and then the McShep, and now the Ronon, I'll be watching for the Amsterdam for purely shallow reasons, because while there's not much else to recommend it, pretty!

Connor Trineer's been bouncing and jiggling around the ship in his underwear for half an hour now.

Wait, what did I miss?! Damn.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm 20 minutes into the first episode of New Amsterdam.
