Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

But to me it sounds like "Yanto."

That's the one. Welsh pronunciation - nearly as fun as Gaelic. (I did my undergrad degree in Cardiff. I had to learn to pronounce enough letter combinations to avoid embarassment at asking directions to impossible-to-say street names. It was getting depressing. Now I can even say "penblywdd hapus" and "pob lwc".)

I got a friend a present with the welsh bad wolf (Blaidd Drwg), and the site emailed me to make sure that there wasn't a typo

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I think Welsh is a made-up language. I mean, not enough vowels is one thing (glares at Polish), but none? none of vowels? That's just crazy talk. Someone's idea of a joke.

(It is really pretty, though...if it was even remotely plausible to use or learn I'd like to take a course)

ION: I just watched the Davies "Second Coming" with Christopher Eccleston. Especially in combination with TW:CoE, it's very telling, I think, of the Davies ethos.

Hawaii ran off with all the vowels.

And true story. In high school, Lewis went on a trip to the UK with his best friend and family. Best Friend's dad, who was a theatre and language uni professor said one morning at breakfast, "Welsh is a dead language."

Problem was, he said it in Wales.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Guys, Grey was in cryo when the hub blew.

“Not dead yet!”

Guys, Grey was in cryo when the hub blew.

I wondered when someone was going to mention that. Pterodactyl first, Grey second was how I wound up thinking of it. Which probably says something very bad about me.

I figure I just saw the pterodactyl a lot more often.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Pterodactyl first, Grey second was how I wound up thinking of it.

On the whole the pterodactyl was friendlier and less deadly. So your priority seems perfectly reasonable to me.
