I'm not sure if I could identify a "barn owl".
I'd probably only get as far as "owl".

Only 47% of the children surveyed by the heritage charity were able to identify a barn owl.
But they can identify an owl, right? I doubt they could identify, say, Dalek Khan.

Wasn't Dalek Khan the black shiny Dalek? That ended up being just the blobby Dalek body at the end?
Pshaw, I could identify that guy! And so could the children of the UK, I am pretty sure about that.
