how did that work when he married the king's daughter?
the Old Testament confuses me.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I'm curious to see if they use that part of the story.
Damn, I hope so, as it's pretty much the whole reason I'm watching.
Okay, that and Ian McShane.

Well, I guess I should say that many *today* speculate. I don't think there's any direct reference in the original text. David had a bunch of wives (Bathsheba, mother of Soloman and Michal, daughter of Saul are the only two I remember off the top of my head.)
eta: Oh, and Abigail.
According to Wikipedia, David's wives were: Michal, Ahinoam, Abigail, Maachah, Haggith, Abital, Eglah and Bathsheba.
Wow. There's a reason some biblical names are still used and some aren't.
(laughing)
I dunno. I think the only reason Abigail looks less weird is because we're used to it.
I wondered what the smoke meant too. It was so obviously an omen of some kind.
unfortunately, the first thing that came to mind is that there was not a new pope. I don't think that's the symbolism they were going for.

If I ever have a daughter, I'll name her Haggith. And then I'll teach her to fight.
