they all woke up from these pods that had the whole gang in a coma-like state. apparently, they were all scientists from the year 2035 and on their way to Mars to find some kind of "genes" so they can cure cancer
WHUT.
'Shindig'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Also, obligatory "I loved the Life on Mars ending and don't really care what the creators say" post.
Yes - that was the ending.
BUT, the second to last shot shows the crew in their astronaut space walk suits getting ready to step onto Mars. The last shot is a white loafered foot stepping onto that red, red ground.
Interview with Colin Ferguson about Eureka and an interview with James Marsters about Moonshot and about the western meets space aliens movie he's doing for SciFi (or Syfy) channel.
"WHUT"
this cracked my shit up.
Pushing Daisies - up for pre-order at Amazon.
Just watched the US LoM finale. No words, but lots of hysterical laughter. Really??! I mean, really???!!!? Oh, god. I have to believe that wasn't the ending they'd planned all along and that the writers just said, fuck it, let's have a goof.
ACTUAL MARS!
Awesome. (You know, in the train wreck way. Except this was like a Fisher Price train wreck it was so goofy.)
you thought i was punking you, didn't you? so awful words can't even fully describe it.
This is sounding like the end of The Prisoner. "Lets give the writers the last of the drugs all at once and then lat Patrick McGoohan film whatever he wants and we'll wind this up."
Now I'm envisioning Sam waking up in The Village, stepping out and someone saying, "Hello number Five."
Okay, I had no idea Marsters looked that much like Aldrin.
