The BSG finale is being immediately re-aired after the broadcast debut finishes though, isn't it? So 11:12 EST to 1:23 a.m.?

Yes. That's when my DVR is actually recording it. Both my tuners are occupied during the first showing.

It has improved since the pilot, and tonight's episode is supposed to be the one that really gets the show on track.
