I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Ian McShane was on The Daily Show last night, if folks want to catch a rerun or check online. He mentioned that he just finished a Sexy Beast sequel with Ray Winstone!

Awesome! I love that movie!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So Silas's son is gay? Or bisexual? He was giving his friend loaded looks while he made out with the nightclub chick, and his father described what he did afterwards as perversion.

Yep, it definitely sounds like the tomcatting with the girls is a cover-up for what he does with the guys. And his mom is equally aware of his proclivities, as demonstrated by her "Oops, I can't find my cell phone! Oops, I found it in his car with my assistant's bra! Go ahead, print that!" bit with the press.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I was a little confused by that. Did the mother set the whole thing up in order to get rid of the secretary and leak Jack's indiscretion to the press at the same time?

Art Crawl!!!

I think so.

It didn't occur to me that it was all a set-up from moment one until the next day. I thought that she had maybe misplaced the phone, and then when she found it, decided it was a good way to kill two birds with one cell and get rid of the secretary as well as boost her son's reputation.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I think Kathy's interpretation is right. If it were a set-up, she wouldn't have been complaining about losing her cell phone to Silas. No point.

I thought those were secondary to covering up that it was her bra. She hadn't realized that she had lost it while making out with whoever she was cheating on the king with. (Probably the financial guy, the adapted "brother" who is planning to take down the King, and put the son in his place as puppet.)

[And for the record, if that last turns out to be true Juliebird got there first.]

I thought those were secondary to covering up that it was her bra.

But they showed the secretary wearing a bright red bra at the start--I think it would be cheating to switch it to the Queen's.
