I caught some of A2A last night, and liked it enough to set the TiVo to record it. I never warmed to Sam Tyler, and sort of feel sorry for Gene Hunt who seems to attract seriously crazy coworkers.
Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

It was really weird. I liked the even-numbered episodes best, if I recall. I kept wanting to quit, but the finale had a pretty good payoff and made me glad I'd stuck with it.

Kings was interesting. The language was interesting and it was a bit like the WWII era MacBeth that Sir Ian McKellan directed in that respect. (Although, you know, less so.) Still it seems like a very odd show to be on a regular network.
