A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Being Human: I should have waited until the end of the ep to ask the Owen question, evidently. That cleared that right up. The person that his doctor placed a call to--Jarrett? Is that a new name?

Also, my audio went a bit wonky when Annie asked Mitchell why she could suddenly do [blank]. He answers that it's because she turned down death. Do you remember what newfound power she was wondering about?

George is a cutie. I did wonder if Nina was going to kill herself in that last shot, after she revealed the scratches, though.

I agree with you on the anti-climactic thing. There wasn't a sense of proportion to that resolution.

I assume we're to assume that Mitchell's judgment was tainted at the time he suggested turning the kid, but, like you--I thought the mother was going to turn him down. How do you transpose the drug addiction metaphor onto a kid properly? Can't turn out well.

Speaking of British sff, has anyone seen "No Heroics?" [trailer]. Can't decide if I want to bother obtaining it. The friend who sent me the link said it reminded her of us in university, which can't be a compliment.

Compassionately intolerant

Hrm. I need to rewatch...Not sure about Jarrett. But I'm pretty sure Annie's new power was being able to be seen/touched. She could fight at the funeral home, right ?

Yeah, the addiction metaphor never seems to work with kids (See Interview with a Vampire et. al) but now we can have the Angelesque "I'm evil because you made me!" thing like the girl, only with extra added angst for Mitchell.

I didn't have the same thought about Nina killing herself, though I can totally see why you'd say that. But now, I'm thinking that GuywhoplayedShakespeare on the Doctor can come back with even MORE I want a family yearning if Nina and George make it.

The Herrick thing bugged because he'd been made out to be the baddest of the baddies, but wait, no there is an even bigger secret conspiracy and his downfall basically consisted of Were!George batting him down and taking a bite. I wanted more drama, especially after George's awesome speech.

As for No Heroics...sort of Human!Tick splicing, eh? There are 6 or 7 eps on serf, so I'll give it a go, but I can't imagine enjoying it half as much.

Has "Being Human" been playing in the U.S. and I missed it.

Although some people have reported being able to access it on the BBC website despite not being in the UK.

Nice call on the Anders=hybrid thing. I wonder if the person who guessed that was guessing or predicting.

Right now it looks like Boomer is still a wild card. Not one I like, though.

And Baltar is still using way too much oxygen.
