A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Also, the REAPER premiere? Sock is just making me want to quit this show.

I am definitely on the same wavelength. Maybe I repressed how utterly annoying and entertainment-sucking I found his character in the previous run, but it took me by surprise in the season premiere.

Also, so very tired of Sam having to constantly coddle and apologize to Andi, something I'd hoped was a thing of the past once she knew about the existence of the supernatural and its role in his life.

You know, I feel kind of stupid because I forgot about Nicky, too. As a viewer, I'm allowed to forget about the child: but his father isn't. So, yeah. I'm suddenly much less sympathetic to Tyrol.

I finally caught up with BSG!

Nicky doesn't really color my view of Tyrol very much. I have it in my head that Nicky was a mistake of the writers and the Hot Dog affair was just writing Nicky out of the plot. I think they would have been better off to not have Tyrol as one of the FF and avoided the awkward Nicky problem.

Trust my rage

You know, Tory could have airlocked Nicky and Callie at the same time. You would think she would know he wasn't half-Cylon (the reason I'd assumed she saved him in the first place).

I dunno, do you think they would want to do something dark like that on BSG?

See - I almost said something about how dark that would be but on BSG it would just be another event. Plus, it would make Tory really bad.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I dunno, do you think they would want to do something dark like that on BSG?

Heh.

I think they wanted to preserve Tory as somewhat morally ambiguous, so no airlocking of toddlers allowed.

I am definitely on the same wavelength. Maybe I repressed how utterly annoying and entertainment-sucking I found his character in the previous run, but it took me by surprise in the season premiere.

He was already getting on my last nerve at the end of last season, but the introduction of some mythology compensated for the drag. This episde felt like back to square one.

Also, so very tired of Sam having to constantly coddle and apologize to Andi, something I'd hoped was a thing of the past once she knew about the existence of the supernatural and its role in his life.

This also. At least it looks like they potentially finished that trope off. If they bring back the gay demons and anti-Satan conspiracy, and the attendant plot possibilities they brought the last time, I may stick with it. Also, they've got the stuff with Sam's dad out there hanging.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm glad I read the comments here before I watched Reaper. I looked much more critically at what they gave Sock to do and was more offended by the circumstance than the character. The whole 'hot sister' thing was so incredibly overblown. I'm not sure what else the character could have done sort of confessing a labotomy.

Perfectly predictable behavior from the beginning of season one. I wonder who told the writers that his evolution into a smarter, less oafish character would be bad for ratings (or whatever), because it really didn't work. I loved him a little there at the end, but now? Eh.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

We had annoying interference on that channel that seemed to go on for at least the first 15 minutes, so I couldn't stand to watch Reaper last night. I'm thinking it wasn't any loss.
