Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Did they chop it up worse than Scifi did?

Sci-Fi didn't cut anything out of that one; they aired it in a 90 minutes time slot. But BBC America always cuts longer episodes down to 48 minutes for an hour-long slot. I don't think PBS has procured the rights to series four yet.

Art Crawl!!!

No, but when they do - they always run the Confidential afterwards and I would guess that they would run the whole thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been missing the Confidential on PBS all this time? D'oh!

Art Crawl!!!

Right - if you watch the repeats - it ends early because PBS doesn't have ads, so they play the confidential to fill the time up 'til the top of the hour.

BSG: Canadian Promo for next week's episode. Once again the emphasis is different than in the US episode but it does give away something that the US one does not.

Our wings are not tired.

So I watched all the webisodes this morning for BSG. It did enrich the experience. Also, poor Felix.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Indeed, Felix has been the butt-monkey of this show in ways that even dwarf Wesley in the "Buffy" franchise.

Oh, I dunno, Wesley had two good legs and still managed to fall down an awful lot.

I thought of Jeffries tubes as well. And I wondered if Chief was just gonna spend the whole episode skittering around without actually accomplishing anything. Which would have been kind of amusing.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ashes to Ashes, eh? When is that starting up? I will give it another try- I was a bit skeeved on it during the first episode- despite my deep and abiding love for the Guv (GuvLuv?) I realized that it was very much in tangent with my Sam love and my love for their dynamic. When I watched the first episode of A2A, the weirdness and 80s style sexism was a bit over the top for me. But if it's on BBCA, I'll check it out- set the Tivo for it anyway.
