'Touched'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

According to RDM in the podcasts, the Gaeta/Hoshi relationship was written into the webisodes after they'd wrapped the season, which is why there's no follow-up on that during the mutiny.

All is well that ends in pizza.

After this episode, I think the series is going to end with the destruction of the Galactica. And the colonists are going to become planet-bound again.

Along with the B-ark from Golgafrincham?

I predict that Tyrol will spend the next six episodes down in the FTL chamber frantically radioing Adama that he can't possibly provide him more power because it's tearing the ship apart. Also, he will discover that his model of Cylon has always spoken with a thick Scottish brogue.

Bwah!!! Well, they already had him crawling through the Jeffries tubes, so it'll fit.

I don't know what a Jeffries tube is - I thought of Die Hard.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

They're what the conduits on Star Trek are called. They're named after the set designer on Trek: [link]

BTW, anyone heard any Torchwood scheduling news?

I mean, wasn't the Torchwood panel today?

I'm wondering whether the fleet is going to split - the coup didn't work, obviously, but there are still a lot of people who can't abide the decision to partner with the Cylons, and I wonder whether they'll split off. All this has happened before, and all...

I don't know that I think Ellen has been with the Cavils. I don't know where I think she's been, but we did see her with a Centurion. Maybe there's a rogue band of demon hunters Centurions out there somewhere. I dunno.

Maybe the Centurion that Baltar was messing with in The Hub had some like-minded buddies who didn't like being manipulated by the skinjobs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just watched bits of the Dr. Who season finale and BBC America totally mangled the human Doctor/Rose Bad Wolf Bay moment. I trust PBS left it be.

Don't know how they handled un-Doctoring Donna. Couldn't stay around for that.

Dedicated lurker

I think they skipped a bit of the un-Doctoring Donna, too--some of the Doctor/Wilf conversation. Very disappointing, especially the Bad Wolf Bay part.
