Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

They weren't before?

Love Roslin stepping foot on the cylon ship and immediately barking orders . . . and being listened to.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Picking him to be the prominent gay male character right around the same time he was chosen to take over Baltar's role as sniveling traitor (but the former in the relative anonymity of webisodes) is doing a good job of making me hate the producers rather than the character.

They weren't before?

No, I always liked Gaeta - probably one of my favorites.

Matt, I hadn't seen if from that angle. Point.

Oh, Tigh. I love you more each day. "In your case, probably cut off one of your legs."

Oh, hey, hi, Mark Sheppard! Or however you spell your last name.

I wouldn't be as touchy about it if they hadn't posthumously revealed Admiral Cain as a lesbian long after she'd been established as a psychopathic tyrant.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gay or bisexual?

It's a seemingly progressive show, but I find it lacks in the followthrough. What percentage of viewers have seen the webisodes. And I wonder which came first--the homosexuality or the betrayal?

I'm pretty sure that we're supposed to feel Gaeta has a point, but I'm just not getting that from the text-just creator commentary on said text.

Yeah, you're not wrong.

Is anyone else flashing on Madeleine Khan from Mixed Nuts every time they show Roslin trying to get through on the radio? Just me?

No, I always liked Gaeta - probably one of my favorites

I meant the past two or so episodes.

Oh, yeah, they just signed their death warrants.

Fucking Zarek.

God. I can't wait for Adama and Roslin to KICK ALL THEIR ASSES. (I am feeling so violent. Bastards.)
