I went searching for con reports from Pegasus 4 and the one thing they all mentioned is apparently someone revealed to Kavan Smith that Lorne was the hands-down winner of Gateworld's "Who is the gay character on Atlantis?" poll, and he spent the whole weekend gleefully parroting that fact back to the convention crowds.
Between this and Torchwood panels I see fandom is continuing to use positive reinforcement to condition slashiness into genre actors.
