Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

'Sleeper'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But Starbuck did die. We've since saw her corpse. It just didn't mean as much as we'd have thought it might. Which is why I'd rather be confused about what it means to have Ellen as the fifth than have them say she's the fifth and then take it back.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I'm don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but Moore definitely said in an interview that he wanted to resolve who was the 5th pretty clearly after the break and thus wrote the revelation to occur in that first ep. Ellen is the 5th.

He took great pains not to talk about it when he gave his commentary because he didn't want that fact spoiled.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

(First Wave.) Yeah, Sebastian Spence turned up with the Pegasus and I was so totally sure he'd be important because he was, like, a recognizable actor.

Woops! And ditto. And then I got cranky because not only was he in a rather smallish part, but he was playing a jerk. Maybe Starbuck should pour salt on him (or was it sugar?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Then... they've not one much of a job dealing with it. If it was supposed to be such a big deal, why isn't it a big deal?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think the intention was always to not really deal with it until closer to the end of the series, but RDM wanted the audience to enjoy the intervening eps w/o constantly wondering if THIS was going to be the ep where the Fifth was revealed.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

They're hot! They're soulless! They fight crime!

Over the weekend, I googled "dollhouse wallpaper," looking for actual wallpaper for a dollhouse. I got Eliza Dushku.
