Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

'First Date'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

From the webisodes, in re: what the secret between Baltar and Gaeta is:

Bunch of people traped in a Raptor that mis-jumped and lost the fleet - Gaeta and two Sharons are among the doomed passengers. One by one the occupants start dying. Unclear at first - one might have been accidental electrocution, one maybe a suicide.

The Sharon who is left is, we learn in flashback, the one with whom Gaeta had an affair on Caprica - and he was giving her names to check on in prison, or what have you, see how they were, help them. Well, turns out she was giving the names to her Cylon buddies, and the people on the lists were being executed.

In the end, she confronts him with the fact that he was only fooling himself into thinking he was helping these people. Did he ever see any of them again? No. He angsts, and then he kills her (she's the one who'd been killing evryone, natch. Self-preservation). He's the last one left, so he is about to off himself with some morphine that his boyfriend Hoshi got for him when said boyfriend and Racetrack, I think, find him - they've been out hunting for the lost Raptor. How one does that in, you know, SPACE, which is BIG, I don't really understand.

Anyway - at one point in flashback, we go back to the scene where Gaeta (on the show - we've seen this in an actual ep) and Baltar are talking in prison after New Caprica. In the show, Baltar whispers something to Gaeta, but we've never known what it was that he whispered - well, he whispered that he knew what had happened with the New Caprica Sharon - that Gaeta unwittingly (or WAS IT?) betrayed all those people to the Cylons.

The End. Anyone who saw the webisodes, feel free to add, correct, whatever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I get the impression we're supposed to think Zarek has a bit of a point. But I guess I'm too afeared of Adama.

Though it would be nice if any of the Cylons had expressed any remorse or indicated that they wouldn't do it all again if the chance came along.

But I guess I'm too afeared of Adama.

No shit. I seriously was thinking, "Oh my god, you are all in SO MUCH TROUBLE," when he first bellowed in the CIC. He was enraged like I have never seen. EJO rocks my world. If they had all laid their guns down and said, "My bad. We're cool. All good," I would not have been surprised. However, would have made for a less kick-ass episode.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Apparently, the Super!Lana thing is now in the comics so it's canon? Or is it some weird aberration?

As noted before, that's actually Lois, and in a separate coninuity, but ... there's actually a long tradition in the comics of Lana having super powers, most notably as Insect Queen, where she had a bee's torso and belonged to the Legion of Superheroes. It was a thing.

So ... "Battlestar." "Battlestar rocked ...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Re: whitefont: Ex-boyfriend, surely, by now, yes?

I don't believe either Adama or Tigh will die next week, but I will cherish forever the image of the two of them waiting to kill or be killed in that hanger deck, guns ablaze.

And I just love Adama and Roslin making out in front of everyone. Good for them - they've earned it.

Well, yeah - current as in during the webisodes is what I meant!

And I just love Adama and Roslin making out in front of everyone. Good for them - they've earned it.

Totally on both counts.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I sincerely thought the ep would end with Roslin buying it. I had real fear. I still do. But that's for next week.

Tyrol, I love you so much again.

Don't touch Helo and his cute hair!

Art Crawl!!!

Jessica, yes - I believe that Gaeta broke up with Hoshi in web. 10 - because Gaeta knew that he was going to be going against the Admiral and didn't want to drag Hoshi into it.

Or at least - that's how I understood it.
