well he was in all the way that counts

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I don't think he's abandoning Nicky forever. I think he's getting Hot Dog in on the raising... and going to get his drunk on. I'm not saying it's the height of his days as a parent; I just don't think we're supposed to think that he's permanently abandoning him.
I'm not saying I approve, not defending - not at all. Just... he's not leaving for good, is all. I fully understand how rage inducing his behavior is.
I hope this season gets better. Whole lotta suckage in the last two episodes.
Actually, I rather liked this ep! Or at least more than the other politics-heavy eps that featured the quorum being all dickish pawns of Zarek. It's definitely a bridge ep to Big Shit happening in later ep(s), but it wasn't a waste of time.
Loved that they answered the question of why Hera was a Big Deal but Nicky wasn't while giving us a glimpse that they might later answer the question of how the Six/Tigh progeny came about. Also loved that they finally got around to addressing Kara's loss of face in the fleet for being married to a Cylon as well as showing Tyrol being torn between his two people. (I was afraid after the previously on that Tory would be featured, and she's definitely one I am tired of.)
The Gaius bit was more to give him something to do since he's faded to the background in recent eps, but I liked that he's still got his Machiavelli on.
Really, there was a lot more I liked in this ep than I didn't. And it finally showed my OTP of Laura/Bill in bed post-nookie, enjoying themselves for once!!
Battlestar Wiki has already updated Hotdog's page.
I somehow remember that Cally meant to space herself AND Nicky, am I right? So she wasn't intending to leave him to be raised by a secret Cylon.
I surely wanted to hit Gaeta upside the head, when he questioned Kara about Anders -- who was a big-time sports star before the Cylon attack, headed an effective resistance effort that killed a whole lot of Cylons on Caprica, became a fighter pilot on Galactica who killed a whole lot of Cylons, and am I misremembering or was he part of the Resistance on New Caprica?
In other words, Anders' claim to being on the Human side of the fight is pretty damn solid.

Yeah, but he also threatened to airlock Gaeta and then shot him in the leg. And is a Cylon.
(And in Gaeta's current warped bitter mind, Anders could have been doing anything on Caprica after the attacks. We only have his word that he was part of a resistance movement. The fact that the human resistance on New Caprica also turned out to be mostly run by Cylons only proves Gaeta's point that Everyone Is Crazy Except Me.)
Did they ever show Tigh/6's transition to a happy couple?
I thought a cylon hybrid baby could only be produced "through love" - so are Tigh/6 in love?
Well, he was imagining Ellen.
Gaeta and Tyrol are both crazy making, but I understand and accept the motivation in their actions. Good solid drama there. I wanted more Tigh and Ellen. There are a lot of stories and not enough hours left! The burdens of Adama and Roslin, oh my gods, do they suffer well.
I've never liked Baltar except as amusement with Head!6. That was a humorous layer in an otherwise bleak environment. His character does nothing for me otherwise. He can stay in the background or trip out an airlock and wouldn't be missed.
