Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Interestingly enough, the people who have mentioned Pythia's prophecies maintain that she must have travelled to Earth and back to be able to make them

I have pronoun confusion from this... Kara must have travelled to and from Earth to make Pythia's prophecies? How are Pythia's prophecy's contingent on Kara? Or is that one of the theories?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, no--nothing to do with Kara. They were supposing that Pythia must have made the trip.

Someone has now popped up suggesting metaphysics, 30 pages of discussion in. It never occurred to me to question the supernaturalish nature of the prophecies.

Oh, OK. I should probably not be this lazy and go look myself, but... was Pythia from Kobol?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

They were supposing that Pythia must have made the trip.

Huh, interesting. Never occured to me.

(And now, naturally, I'm going to have to assume Pythia was the original incarnation of Ellen Tigh until informed otherwise.)

There's a new BSG podcast up, btw.

Are we discussing Fringe anywhere these days?

Laura - Jan 20, 2009 5:13:50 pm PST #6333 of 30001
Our wings are not tired.

I'm watching, Torque. Only caught the 2nd half tonight because I was caught up in inaugural stuff.

I'm just wondering if anyone played "Where's Waldo" with the observer tonight and won.

I lost.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Tonight's Fringe was pretty good, minus the recap dialogue plaguing the first fifteen or so minutes.

Love the twist that the seeming one of many bad guys may be working on the side of good. I believed him, at least. Took me awhile to remember who the heck he was (took until seeing the wife).

Ditto on the wife thing.
