'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

No, it's been Connor Trineer from the beginning.

They did have another actor play the character in "Allies" at the end of the second season (in the freakiest Wraith make-up ever to boot!) but it was back to Trineer in the second half of the two-parter.

The rewatch of last week's episode had me catching that line Lorne had about finding anything you could want, and a lot of stuff you don't, at street bazaars in the Bay area growing up.

Thank you SGA writers, for the mental image of teenage Lorne's eyes bugging out as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence roller-skate by past a stand hawking dildos of all shapes and sizes.

Art Crawl!!!

Exactly.

I really liked the way he and Martha were interacting and working together. I suppose they had to kill him off in order for Martha to be there? Like, there can be only one medical expert?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Damn you for making me care about Owen! DAMN YOU!!!!

That seems to be a recurring theme of the season. I've heard that same plaintive cry from a lot of people.

Martha, as always, made from PURE AWESOME.

Well a good portion of it is that Burn fucking rocks the house. Granted, I thought he did last season as well, but this season they've written Owen as significantly less of a douchebag.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't have anything wordful to say about Martha Jones really.

It does occur to me, though, that I'd be much less interested in seeing Rose in Cardiff.
