No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I love Fillion. It would be interesting to him as Crichton, but Ben Browder, I think, probably brought more depth, or, maybe width, to the role. Also, I ♥ him, and the chemistry between CB and BB, well, I think that would have been hard to top.

Gotta go read the BB interview now. I miss him on my screen.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

NF does great at the goofy (Johnny!) and the hardass (Mal!) but BB so owned Crichton that I can't begin to imagine NF starting out as a geeky scientist wimp and transforming into a legendary gun-toting-badass. Even as Mal, during the light moments, he tended towards the absurd side of goofy. Ben had different extremities (although in print they may look very similar), and I love Ben as John, and he can't be replaced, even speculatively.

eta to clarify. Pronouns suck.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I've been contemplating rewatching Farscape from the beginning again. I miss that show so much. And I agree with JenP -- I love Fillion as Mal, but I really can't imagine anyone but Ben Browder filling out Crichton's black leather. And he and Claudia Black have absolutely amazing chemistry together.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Morgana,

if you do this, please let me know. I might watch with you.

Art Crawl!!!

tiggy - man - if you haven't been collecting the dvds. . . well, let's just say that in the past year they've all gone out of print and therefore prices for even the later seasons have skyrocketed.

I bought Farscape on iTunes. No extras, of course, but at least I have the episodes to rewatch. Which I had been doing, but I stopped somewhere in Season 3. I got overloaded or something.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, I have a friend who, despite my recommendation, didn't even watch Farscape until about a year ago and then fell in love with it and quickly collected all four seasons. Well, season 1 and season 2 were almost impossible to find last year. Now, seasons 3 and 4 are getting there.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Unfortunately the company who produced the Farscape DVDs was a tiny Australian outfit with very little distribution capability. I didn't realize they'd gone out of print entirely though! That's a real shame.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, but Sony owns the copyright. That's why there is still hope for BluRay versions.
