Good God, but season three of Who is wringing me out. Human Nature and Family of Blood made me weep like a baby for the Doctor and Blink was one of the most creeptastic episodes that didn't really have the Doctor in it. Some really great TV, there.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The screenplay for "Blink" made the Nebula final ballot.
(As did the screenplay for a "New Voyages" episode, heh.)
Torchwood: haven't seen 2.08 yet (or 2.06 or 2.07, come to that), but I have to agree about Burn. I've thought he was a fantastic actor since Bleak House. And I do think it's all acting; in the behind-the-scenes stuff he comes across as quite quiet and thoughtful, not at all like his onscreen persona(s). To me, anyway .
Word on the Burn-Gorman love. (Of course, I also find Owen one of the most interesting - not likeable or admirable, but interesting) of the characters. At least based on Season 1.
By the way, Gareth David-Lloyd:
has all the episodes of TNG on videotape
reads Jack/Ianto fanfic.
...oh, God. Right. Suddenly, despite not being very RPS-ish, I want to read the metaish porn.
Someone should make sure Barrowman knows this so he can start writing some.

Unless I'm reading you wrong, I think you mean non- nonplussed?
Hee. Yes. Plussed, I guess.
Jose Chung! (I was scratching my head, trying to remember where I've heard the expression non-nonplussed.)
Torchwood 2.08:This was a pretty good episode. I loved the scene with Tosh and Owen in Owen's apartment. Martha didn't have a lot to do but she was still completely awesome, and the Martha/Jack kiss was great. So, is Owen going to be dead/undead for the rest of the series?
I'm with everyone on the Burn Gorman love, but I still really don't care for the character. Is it possible that the writers are trying to portray Owen as badass, but only the ass is showing?

heh. I think that they are trying to make him complex, more protagonist than hero. He has redeeming qualities, just none of them are personality based.
SCC lost another million viewers. Shitty hell. I'm starting to enjoy it, too!
So... is anybody still watching "Ashes to Ashes"?
Yesterday's episode was easily the best yet, and I have the feeling they're finally hitting their stride. Now I'm back in the "Life on Mars" groove, wondering what they're going to do next, and how. Keeley Hawes has stopped annoying me, and there's finally some GENUINE chemistry between Alex and Gene.
I like.
