A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I keep waiting to hear that the network is getting in shipments of rotten fruit from fans, not that I would encourage anyone to do this.
Maybe the Firefly crazy people have some leftover apples.
(Perhaps too optimistically, I qualify myself as a Firefly sane person.)
So FREAKIN' loved Chuck tonight it's not even funny (though the episode was, as well as a bit heartbreaking). Not only is he developing his very own set of spy skills, but I adored Big Mike taking out the bad guy and saving Casey's bacon in the process. And the preview made me squee:
CARL LUMBLY!!!!
Aw, CKR - I hope that pans out for him. Bless.
(Mind you, if he wanted advice on how to play loads of different characters in one show, Tricia Helfer's pretty damn hard to beat, imho. She's done
fabulous
work on that in BSG, she really has.)
OMG why is nobody squeeing about Sarah Connor? So much HSQ! Riley! Future!John being freakish and Jessie coming back to stop Cameron! Cromartie! Yoiks!
I enjoyed Sarah Connor quite a lot last night, but I need to rewatch the episodes from this season. It was more cohesive last night than some of the previous episodes, but I blame myself as much as them for the confusion. The show demands more careful attention than I can devote at 8pm on a Monday night. Kickass Sarah and surprise twists deserve a more deliberate uninterrupted viewing.
I'm 3 episodes behind on SCC. Luckily, it sounds like a really good 3 episodes, so hopefully catching up in one go won't be an issue.
That was one hell of a twisty episode, for sure, and delivered two big surprises (one in ep plot, one involving a long time character) that I really didn't see coming at all. And then you add in the John Henry stuff with Ellison and Cromartie-bot, and and and....
Quite the episode, really.
And also, multiple female characters with agency....
Is SCC on iTunes? I'm thinking I might try and catch up over the holiday weekend.
