Wash ,'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Any halfway intelligent person could have played that so much better for Atlantis' side. Like anyone outside Atlantis' command structure would know that they're the ones who reactivated the Replicators, or that Michael was an intentional experiment gone wrong. What, are either of them supposed to havebeen chatting with villagers over coffee?

How about "those mysterious intelligent machines came after us first, boiled the ocean of our planet. And when we escaped, they went on a rampage destroying the rest of the galaxy, human and Wraith alike. We finally had to work with the Wraith and the Travelers to end the bloodbath and prevent every human world from being wiped out." Or "we invented a virus that turns the Wraith into amnesiac humans, and wiped out a hive with it. But somehow one Wraith escaped, and decided to avenge himself on us by poisoning worlds all over with the Hoffan drug. We've been running our medical personnel ragged trying to help affected communities, and pursued the responsible party to his death."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Obviously, their first mistake was letting John argue the case. I imagine Teyla, Ronon, and Rodney were sitting in the cell arguing about exactly how doomed they were.

Art Crawl!!!

You know, I think Primeval would have been much more fun without the conspiracy theory plot. I mean, they haven't even made any headway into figuring out why the anomalies are happening or how. And I guess that they just aren't all that interested.

Also, why does Helen want to collect creatures all in one place? Does she take a 19th century zoo type theory about studying zoology?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm just entranced with Helen's push up bra. They get more and more pushed up every episode, her breasts do. I liked her better, well, appreciated's a better word, when she was rough and tumble.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sanctuary is at least in part a protected environment for abnormals, but it's also a bit of a prison for dangerous ones.

Sort of like having the black-footed ferrets down the hall from the Sumatran tigers.

Word from the Eureka set: The order has been reduced to 10, and won't air until the summer of 2009.

:(

Oh noes. I miss Eureka.

sigh -- but at least 10 are infinitely better than none!

Art Crawl!!!

No!

That sucks.

And you are so right about Helen and her breasts. This week's outfit was startling.

And the PR lady - everyweek she gets to wear one costume and it's always somewhat inappropriate. Or at least - seems like it would be inappropriate for a USian woman in her position. Do women in PR in the UK wear that sort of thing?
