A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Anyone watch the American
Life on Mars
last night? I didn't hate it, but I don't know if I'll be adding it to my roster. It was disconcerting to watch a show that looked very much like the show I knew, and followed very nearly the same exact script, but with (inconsistent) New York accents instead of Mancunian accents. Well, and with no John Simm or Philip Glenister.
The moment with
the Twin Towers
was pretty well done, I thought.
Yeah, I saw it. There's been a bit of discussion in the Procedurals thread (wasn't sure if the discussion should be there or here).
ETA - I liked it, but I only saw a couple of random episodes of the original.
I think people are discussing the american LoM in procedurals, Kate. my reaction to the Twin Towers seems to be the exact opposite of everyone else. it pulled me out of the show and made me meta about them only using it to possibly gain more viewers who would watch to spot the Towers. that could be the pessimist in me though...
See, I thought it was the perfect way to indicate "we are not in 2008 anymore, Toto".
Oh, thanks for the heads up about the Procedurals thread. Moving my comments over there.
Sciffy ran a mini-marathon of Haunted yesterday AND they're running two more episodes on the 15th AND another mini-marathon on November 11th.
I discovered this and (I'm sorry, Matt!) forgot to post the information.
Hey, better late than never—I'll have a chance to record some of the upcoming episodes. Thanks sumi!
Looking through the schedule, I also see that Suzette Haden Elgin's Tales from the Darkside episode will be airing at 5:30 am EST!
