A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe Stark can come back naked? That would satisfy all of us, really.

I liked how Carter worked his way through the various possible causes and solutions, as the situation got darker and more desperate.

The "science", however.... t waves hands enough to briefly lift her from her seat

What is even happening?

This morning, I'm leaning toward Stark coming back.

I'm going with the rule of soap operas, if there's no body, the character will be back! (I mean usually they fall off of a cliff or there's a mysterious explosion, but this could work)

I think it's a Sci-Fi rule, too. And I think you're right. I mean, the storyline was all about time loops and whatnot, and how many times did Allison say everything would work out the way it's supposed to?

I was spoiled for this ep, and I kinda wish I hadn't been. Still, I thought it well executed, and it's the first time I bought Allison with either Stark or Carter. But I severely still don't want her with Jack.

I always buy Allison with both of them. Of course, I think both EQ and CF have the big block of concrete factor in spades.

Oh, and I'm sad that we didn't get a wee bit more exploitation of Ed Quinn for his body before they evaporated him. If he comes back, it should be for that at least.

I know, right? And if this was it for him, why couldn't they have added in some hand-wavium about Stark having to be starkers to activate the phlebotinum?

Totally agree.

Right. I want Jack with Stark ;)

And now we have Lexie.

I really dislike that actress. She is always annoying. I can't figure out if it's the characters she plays or something about her mannerisms or way of speaking.

Wait, is the third season of Eureka going to be subtitled "The Search for Stark"?

I hope they leave him dead, at least for a while, and if they feel the need to cheat the viewers they bring him back as a cliffhanger at the end of the season or not at all.

It IS possible he has a twin brother or something, so the actor, who is certainly very nice on the show, may come back. Or he could be an AI projection or something- it would be better than bringing him back through resurrection.

If it's next week hes all fine and dandy, I am not going to be a happy camper.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They do have a precedent for people slowly disintegrating on camera and turning out to have actually been safely sent elsewhere.

We actually did briefly have an Army of Starks in one episode...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We actually did briefly have an Army of Starks in one episode...

But what about an army of starkers Starks?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Holy crap!

Well, okay, my bad for being a little spoiler floozie, but - holy crap!

...er, yes. What I was going to say was: "Awesome Doctor Who vid, Vonnie! Thanks so much for the link!"

What I'm mostly now saying, though, is: "Holy Crap!"

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

This morning, I'm leaning toward Stark coming back.

This was me as well, Cindy. Rewatched bits and pieces this morning and Allison's repetition of "Everything will turn out the way it's supposed to" and Stark's confidence (despite the almost-tears and "take care of my girl after I'm dead" speech) and his "See you later, Jack" left me with more hope that there is an out.

I almost wish that they'd held the moment where we realize Stark is frozen just a few seconds longer before he started turning into fairy dust. Just enough to make us think "Oh god, he's going to stay forever stuck there while the world moves on around him."

I do love that Allison was confident enough in her love for Stark to not feel threatened by Carter. She was just so happy. I've seen too many other shows/movies where the bliss is ruined by worry and second-thoughts or anger when another suitor makes a claim.
