Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Which Canadian Vampire Detective Show did he miss?

Only Wendy knows.

good's kind of a stretch, I think.

Ouch.

It sometimes requires a large amount of suspension of disbelief about the "normal" stuff*.

I disagree. I think the characters ground the show very nicely. It's great that in this wacky show with aliens and vampire puppets, you have a genuine, strong friendship between Wendy and Lacey, for instance. I think it's a pretty cohesive package. Even when the jokes were uneven in the beginning, I thought the combination of the "normal" stuff and the Middleman stuff still worked well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Um, where exactly do I find this Middleman thingie? I can't recall seeing a single ad for it.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Which Canadian Vampire Detective Show did he miss?

I love to watch Middleman , but this was totally cruel.

I finally resigned myself to just another thing I couldn't remember.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It's on the ABC Family channel, Mondays at 10pm. I would be surprised if it weren't on iTunes.

It's available at the ABC Family website, too, but I they post only the two most recent eps.

lisah, I think there's a Men in Black vibe to it that helps me with the whole scenario and makes the show solid in its own world setting. And the characters are quite lovable, with, engaging relationships to each other. I'd definitely suggest giving it a shot. It's happy-making, and it's clear that that's what they're going for.

Punishingly Intricate

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think it's very knowingly cheesy in an entertaining fashion, like Men in Black or the 80s Flash Gordon movie. I think I like about it exactly what I liked about the 200th episode of Stargate SG-1.

Plus, Dubby may be my favorite character currently on American television.

I am so using that.
