very few eps end with no one dying
"Just this once, everybody lives!!"
'Help'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Like Fay, I've been mainlining the 9th and 10th Doctors.
Having seen pretty much everything youtube has to offer, as well as some other outlets, I have a couple of thoughts about David Tennant.
Whoa. While his range is a bit limited (most roles come off looking the same) he definitely has some depth. I'm guessing his Hamlet deserves the praise it is getting.
Also? Regardless of its status as a kids show (which still confuses me) it's a good thing there isn't more snogging because, really?, he's an open-mouth kisser and...yuck.
edited: To add to my patheticness...I didn't mention that DT looks a LOT like an old boyfriend...exact same mouth...but the bf was 2 inches taller. Plus? Tennant and I share a birthday. jeebus...how sad am I?
But those eyes, that smile and those hands. I'm a goner.
Anybody have an line on streaming Viva Blackpool? There isn't much on youtube and the regular sites I haunt...surf/hulu/tvokay don't seem to feature it.
Musical Supranos? Whodda thunk it. (pun inteneded)

I've got it sitting on my computer waiting to watch after Coupling. I think I got it from mininova or ishount.
Yeah, PC - I think they sold that whole 'fire and ice' thing in Family of Blood, partly because of the actor and partly because of the context. It worked. But Martha Jones's leaden fire metaphor, coming as it did straight after telling Donna that her (Martha's) mother, her father and her brother and sister had been tortured for a year because of the Doctor - I think that was lazy writing. That exchange should have been moving, not trite.
Dwelling on that point does get cheesy, but it is nice to be reminded of that fact from time to time.
See, I think that they're in danger of overdoing the whole Emo!Doctor thing at times, but on the whole I'm good with it. Still - showing's better than telling.

Fay, did you catch any of TomW's LOLWho's on LJ? I'm guessing not, since you may not be up to that point in the series. I don't have the link, but they were HILARIOUS on the subject of the Emo!Doctor.
And didn't you notice that the nuclear explosion was PURPLE? I don't think it was just a nuclear explostion. There was more to it.
I read that as "nuclear explosition".
Doesn't help that I mispelled. (Explosion. Explosion. Heh, sometimes word just don't look right.)
Maybe it needs to be all caps
EXPLOSION
or bold.
Explosion
or red and bold and all caps, and bigger.
EXPLOSION!
No, that's not it.
BOOM!
Better.
About the Degree sponsorship in Eureka, that does not bother me so much as that corporate axewoman herself. So maybe it isn't as seamless as feeding E.T. some candies that just happen to be the amazing new Reece's Pieces, but I can kinda see it.
The meta of people gathered around to watch Lab 27 was cute, particularly as they appeared to be watching on the same model 'puter as I'm typing on now. I am going to assume that they aren't using the Leopard operating system - probably instead it's Mac's Eureka-special Sabretooth.
I'm really glad Henry is back. I missed him.
You know what else I miss? I miss CFerg coming around to comment on our comments.
BOOM!
Better.
Explosition is what Dr. Samantha Carter does before she gets more comfortable with guns. Nuclear explosition is what Major Carter did before they let her start playing around with Naquadria.
