We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

nobody rocks like Ace.

Except Leela.

brillig

True, Leela possibly does rock more.

Art Crawl!!!

Who is Ace?

Is there a Doctor Who timeline that shows where in the universe each Doctor was at any given time?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Ace was the Seventh Doctor's companion. She was something of a delinquent and she liked to blow shit up (and was good at it).

I would love for Ace to show up at some point in the new series.

Leela knew how to disembowel people.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

And as for all the appearances of Nine in what's-his-name's conspiracy files, I've always assumed that after his first attempt to get Rose to go with him, the Doctor had a few lonely adventures through Earth's history before going back to remind her that the TARDIS travels in time as well.

Possible, but just as likely that some of them are "unseen" adventures he had along the way with Rose. There are gaps in between some episodes where anything could have happened.

And I have to state emphatically that the best Doctor is the first Doctor that I ever saw. And anyone who says differently is WRONG.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There was a promo for "Pushing Daisies" before Iron Man in the theater tonight. I'm glad to see they're promoting it for the Fall; I want it to continue to do well.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Ooh, I just watched Iron Man yesterday, on crappy pirate DVD (having missed it in the cinema). It was...okay. I think too many people had said great things about it, so I was expecting it to be better than it was. Still, possibly the crapitude of the DVD didn't do it justice.

Hancock, however (which I caught in the cinema yesterday), I loved. Much more than Wanted or Iron Man. Love love love.

And just to get back on topic - Leela I know more through the novelizations than remembering her onscreen, but she was cool.

I want Romana to return, though. Really quite a lot, I want Romana. Now she was fantastic. (A fellow Time Lord - a companion who wasn't in awe of the Doctor at all. She regenerated once during her run of travelling around with him.) The Romana I remember, ie the second incarnation we saw, was played by Lala Ward - ie Mrs Richard Dawkins. She helps him narrate The God Delusion in the version on my iPod, which makes for an interesting little collision of worlds.
