A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Then there was that one where they got sent back into a planet's past and he was acting as angrily as his people were at that time (yet McCoy was perfectly normal)...he loved then too, with less giggling, and still there was that pain because McCoy couldn't go back without him, and duty was all.
"Time For Yesterday", right? A.C. Crispin wrote a couple of sequels to that. They're really pure fanfic, in the sense that it's the exact same impulse that motivates post-ep fanfic.
However, it's always fun to watch Spock beat the crap out of Kirk, so there's that trade-off.
Yeah. Was that when Kirk tries to get Spock mad by calling him a "half-breed" and saying "your mother was a computer" and such?
After "The Naked Time" (the spore episode) aired, Nimoy's fan mail abruptly went through the roof.
Prior to that episode, Spock was simply an emotionless alien. After that, his character was suddenly a lot more complicated.

Yep. And that he should be in the freak show of a circus "right next to the dog-faced boy."
"The Naked Time" is a virus episode.
"This Side of Paradise" is the spore episode where Spock ends up cavorting in the sunshine.

I've heard that, but I think it was a different episode. It was one where everyone on the ship became super emotional, and Spock is in his quarters trying to talk himself down, saying "I am in control of my emotions" and then crying.
Damn, I'm surprised at how difficult it is for me to recall specifics....
eta: X-posty. Dana remembers well the two episodes in question....
My favorite insult of Spock was when McCoy (I think) calls him a "pointy-eared hobgoblin." What EP was that?

That's also the ep where we find out that Nurse Chappell has been pining for Spock.
I loved The Naked Time. I'm still hanging onto it on my TiVo, wondering if I should buy it in iTunes. So far my keepers include The Menagerie, The Naked Time, and that one with the cloud people.
It's interesting--they could be complex, but man, they could be so damned hamfisted and internally contradictory.
At first I thought she was storing flesh to repair herself--is she going to keep that cut forever?
I thought that she was just removing it to get to the endoskeleton.
