Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

'Underneath'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I read along with the spoilers because I figured I wouldn't be watching it anyway. But without my normal summer fare, I've had a change of heart.

wait...what? are you reading the stuff about season four?! stop it, Austin. ya spoiler ho!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Make it so. It should include a lot of people leaving him, allowing him to be emo, as well as lots of whacky strangeness.

The whacky strangeness, I feel, should include bits of the many other pretty Jacks of sci fi: O'Neill, Sparrow (ok, so he's more fantasy than sci fi, but still), Carter, and any more that can be dredged up. Has Will Smith played a Jack?

Don't forget Spydaddy (aka Jack Bristow).

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Ha. Does it count if I never intended on watching the show? I think the reason I stopped watching and didn't like Tennant was because it was too close to the end of the first season. I had Eccleston stuck in my head as the doctor and I wasn't giving Tennant a fair chance. I had seen big shows like Blink along the way and was getting some bleed through with Torchwood. Now I started again with Tennant's first episode and am enjoying him tremendously. I'm watching all the episodes in a row now so I'm giving myself points if I don't just skip straight to 4x13.

Not sci fi, but Burn Notice, The Closer and Saving Grace all start in the next few weeks.

I may have to give those a chance now that my staples are gone.

SGA! This Friday!

Yes! When I saw the promo is when I realized the other shows that I was missing.

Is Jeremiah any good? Sciffy is going to start running it this Thursday?

I might try that too. Netflix has it on their instant watch and I keep meaning to, but never do.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Heh - I don't even see whitefont for spoilers, 'cause I have my CSS set up to display them in grey! I'm spoiled for EVERYTHING! MUAHAHAHAHA!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've been rabidly avoiding spoilers for DW (thank you all for whitefonting so well!!!), but am really anxious for Sci-Fi to get around to showing the rest of the episodes.

Austin, I was another big Eccleston fan initially, but Tennant has fully converted me into thinking he's better than CE in the role. Maybe part of it is that's he's had two years more to develop his character, but I love his maniac enthusiasm combined with that dark dark interior of him that makes him so very dangerous. The end of "Family of Blood", and his showdown with ASH in the return of Sarah Jane episode (School Ties? School Reunion? I can't remember which is the correct title), when he said, "I'm so old. I used to have so much mercy," send chills down my spine.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Jess, dear, IIRC you were spoiled for everything a long time before we had CSS-tweaking toys.

For anyone interested, there's a new series starting tonight on BBC1 from the folks who made "Life on Mars" - "Bonekickers", "based around a team of glamorous West Country archaeologists". With, as far as I can tell from the trailer, quite a few occult elements thrown in.

I'm torn - the reviews have been pretty bad, but: Hugh Bonneville! Adrian Lester! That chick who played Martha's sister on Doctor Who! Hmmmmm.

Yes, but now I don't have to work for it. (For values of "work" which include "clicking the mouse to highlight text." Feel the burn!)
