I think that that's sort of symptomatic of the whole thing, like that was the final wake-up call for Giac Jr being, basically, a monster. And, of course, yes, it is ultimately his own fault (If there is anyone who has no business parenting, it's him). They drew very clear parallels between their childhoods, which is what makes the difference (amidst the similarities) in the outcomes even more striking

I can't remember the last time
I've been haunted by an episode of TV like this. For all it's flaws and angry-making (some of it meta, some of it totally intended by the writing), I can't shake this one. It's been in the back of my head all yesterday, I couldn't sleep last night, all today at work, I couldn't focus. Then I went and listened to the podcast. It made me cry. Threw on my house-cleaning playlist and Citizen Cope's "Sideways" came up, and it made me cry (granted, that song rips my heart apart all on it's own). And now to torture myself I'm listening to "Roads".) I think I'm gonna go dig out my black eyeliner and brush my bangs over my face.

I'm only midway through season two Who, but I am enjoying the discussions here. I read along with the spoilers because I figured I wouldn't be watching it anyway. But without my normal summer fare, I've had a change of heart.
I've figured out what is wrong with this summer. No 4400 nor Dead Zone. And Eureka is taking way too long to get here.
