I was watching Twilight Zone earlier, and there was an episode that, 5 minutes in, made me say, "This is that Uglies series. Huh. Guess it got borrowed." Similarly, I thought this episode reminiscent of The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, where the whole point is that WE are the scariest thing in the room, whatever else there might be.
It must have been an intense filming, what with the, basically, just one set. I've always been a fan of "Let's put these characters in a small room and under stress and see what happens", as a plot device.
Oh, yeah, and ROSE! Apparently, she was on one of the monitors on the shuttle, but I didn't see it this time (I did on the screen in the TARDIS back in whatever ep that was)

I quite enjoyed that. It was interesting to see what might happen when the Doctor couldn't talk his way out of the problem. Talk about being tongue-tied. I was actually quite worried for him! And Rose! On the screen over the Doctor's shoulder! I'm really kind of disgruntled that the trailer appears to have given much more away than I want to know for next week.
I have absolutely nothing to say about this week's U.K. episode of Who.

Well basically it was a good bit of work by the writers if they were trying to get a visceral reaction I just wanted everyone to stop talking. I got angry, and annoyed, and then frustrated. It accomplished what it set out to do but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Much like it seemed to do with the doctor.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I thought that was a great episode of UK Who. Very well done. I loved the shattered feel of the rescued shuttle, and need to believe the doctor forgave the mother's and her obvious lie. Not to mention it being chilling watching the doctor being chilled by Donna's repeating.
