And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Right? She hasn't had nearly enough time to flip-flop that hard, especially if they've barely had one proper date.

I actually rewound and went back to her conversation with Clark to make sure I hadn't missed some key point when they were discussing the meaning of life, etc. It was odd.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

OMG, Joe Flanigan on Fringe!

I know! and then he's dead. damn. He needs to be in more shows I watch.

It was very abrupt and Kara's explaination makes very little sense considering last season and how little time passed from the finale to the premiere.

Yes, that bugged.

God bless the salmon ladder, AMEN.

and in a suit!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Liked the second episodes of Flash and Arrow much better than the first.

Oliver trusting the new recruits with his secret seemed foolish (I don't care what Felicity says. And speaking of needing to tone down the lipstick...)

So I haven't watched Legends of Tomorrow since I gave up on it very early in season 1 but I gave it another try tonight. I think I might have actually enjoyed it? Also, hello, Eobard. Wasn't expecting that (though I suppose I should have.)

ETA: I think a big reason for enjoying it more is the Hawks were gone, as was that pathetic excuse for Vandal Savage. The lack of Captain Cold sucked, though.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

This week in stupid TV history...

Albert Einstein wouldn't build a nuclear atomic bomb, and even if the nazis could force him to try, he couldn't. He was a theoretical physicist, not an engineer. He may know why a bomb explodes, but not how to actually build one. And the nazis already had Werner Heisenberg running their program, so what would they need with Einstein? Plus, it took the Manhattan Project four years to build a bomb. Granted, they weren't getting their uranium from Damien Darhk, nor did they have Eobard Thawne to give them a set of blueprints, but still, it would still take a lot of time.

And what's Thawne's interest here? He of all people should be opposed to messing with his own timeline.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Oh, Barry, Sad!Cisco is the worst! You better fix this before the end of the episode.

Also, Draco! I don't care what his code name is while he's living undercover as a Muggle. He's still Draco.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I'm slightly boggled that Barry broke the timeline so hard that on Arrow, baby Sara became baby John. I'm a little pissed that the showrunners not only fridged Sara, they turned her namesake into a dude.

Also, I have ZERO use for Draco and the clunky manufactured hostility against Barry. (That said, I often end up loving characters who start out annoying the shit out of me -- Cisco being the biggest example -- so I'm giving him a chance.)

Also, John Wesley Shipp's teeth are distractingly white. (And Dawson on the TV in the diner on Earth-3 made me laugh and laugh. Well played, show.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am so so upset about baby Sara. Fix it!

Yeah, that's total bullshit.

Odds on Draco being connected to Doctor Alchemy? Although I am still going to keep a running commentary in my head, assuming it's actually Draco. He's convinced Barry's got a wand somewhere. And was a Hufflepuff.

Odds on Draco being connected to Doctor Alchemy?

Tim thinks Draco *is* Doctor Alchemy, and I thought that was too freaking obvious, but then Dr. Wells was actually Reverse Flash and Jay Garrick was Zoom, so...this show does love the obvious.
