Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

'Same Time, Same Place'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I don't mind the story, and I like the way it has repercussions in the rest of the season. Just...tight black clothes? Really?

The Flash crossover was nineteen kinds of fun.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Just once, can we have an episode where someone turns evil and eschews wearing makeup? "Fuck these high heels, they're uncomfortable and stupid."

YES. Why doesn't the transformation go more like:

Superheroine: Due to the pressures of a society that demands she look fuckable (but not too fuckable) at all times, defends the world against evil wearing makeup, high heels, and clothing generally unsuitable for combat.

SuperheroineTurnedEvil: No longer gives a shit about what society demands (because, evil), wreaks havoc in the same pair of yoga pants she's been wearing for three days, a pair of lightweight cross-trainers, and a fanny pack.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

It's the Sandy from Grease transformation that's problematic.

You know that she's dead, right?

Our wings are not tired.

I'd never heard the whole Sandy being dead thing, or if I had it didn't stick in my memory. I am one of the few that hasn't seen Grease although plenty of bit and pieces here and there.

So apparently Lucifer is the 13th Cylon.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Snerk.

I loved The Good Place, especially for this bit of wisdom:

I mean I wasn't freakin' Ghandi, but I was okay. I was a medium person. I should get to spend eternity in a medium place... Like Cincinnati. Everyone who wasn't perfect but wasn't terrible should get to spend eternity in Cincinnati.

Ha! Kinda makes me want to visit Cincinnati.

Didn't save her from drowning. Oxygen-starved brain fever dream.

Aw, one of the Ashmores is in this episode of Fringe. Wait, it's actually both of them, playing twins. That's kind of cool.

Can anyone actually tell them apart?
