Plus we get Russia flashbacks next season!
'Time Bomb'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I still don't know what the hell the point of this year's flashbacks were. Ollie could have just as easily gone to Russia without the Waller kidnapping him and dumping him back on the island first.
All in all, I liked this finale a lot better than Flash's (and I wonder if the writers actually realize their reboot could have ramifications on all four of their super shows [since changes to Barry's timeline could have prevented him from hopping over to Earth-SG as well]) though I didn't love it. Didn't we just have the city help Team Arrow take on the big bad and his minions two seasons ago? The random citizens beating up armed professional killers hasn't gotten any less ridiculous in the interim.
I did love it. I don't expect logic from Arrow, but it was a big, fun finale and so much better than The Flash.

They were armed, but didn't use their weapons at all. When they showed up both the apartment and the Arrowcave, they came in with guns blazing. It didn't make any sense that they wouldn't shoot when surrounded by the citizenry.

When did Oliver Queen become more emotionally healthy than Barry-Fuck-Everyone-I'm-Destroying-the-Timeline-and-Saving-My-Mother Allen?
Maybe that was the first effect of the reboot.
by the 3rd or 4th episode all the moral ambiguity started sucking me into a "what would I have done in that situation" mindset, which made it a lot more interesting.
HAH Sail! That's exactly what happened to me, although I got bored by the 3rd ep, skipped the 4th, watched the 5th, and then got hooked. I mainlined the 1st and 2nd seasons in about 2 weeks.
I like to describe the show as one in which everyone fails the Kobayashi Maru test; in fact, there is no way to cheat it. It's just all bad decisions, every way you go.
That said, you will be surprised at how your opinions of various people (::cough:: Murphy Bellamy Jaha Kane Octavia ::cough::) change over time. They do a LOT of amazing character work on this show, and (yay!) every episode passes the Bechdel test. In fact, at various points, women are the major agents of the plot.
I have to admit my first reaction was, "Oh, Lord of the Flies crashed from outer space this time." Still compelling watching, though, for many of the same reasons.
The Arrow finale was better than the Flash finale, but it still felt like a chore to get through.
Is anyone watching Wynnona Earp? Is it any good?
