Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Flash: Katie Cassidy was better as Black Siren than Earth 1's Laurel Lance.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Evil is easier to play. See also Brett Dalton.

Actually, I kinda liked later seasons Laurel. Once they got it out of their heads that she should be the female lead and made her more of a supporting player, she got better.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I think Katie Cassidy is better at playing confident rather than emotional turmoil. (See also Ruby 1.0 on Supernatural.) She got much better in the show once they figured out what do to with her character (and in-story Laurel figured out what to do with herself.)

I also have the suspicion that Black Siren got locked up in the Pipeline instead of Iron Heights so she can escape next season to cause chaos and heartbreak on Arrow (and lead to "Why didn't you tell us?!? accusations against Team Flash.) The CW loves its overwrought melodrama.

Arrow:

You'd think supervillains would learn not to build their evil lairs out of Explodium.

That was pretty ridiculous, even for this show.

Especially if the whole plan is to drop nuclear bombs on the roof.

I loved the citizen going on about that he was down there to keep his family safe AFTER all the security types were running across his lawn firing submachine guns. It also reminded me of the Hank Scorpio episode of The Simpsons.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I don't care, though, because Neal McDonough has been single-handedly picking up this whole season and carrying it on his back for me.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I don't know who else here is watching both Arrow and The 100, but Digg explicitly mentioned the existence of a nuclear bunker called "Mount Weather" in last night's ep so... I guess they are trying to tell us the two shows exist in the same universe, albeit several hundred years apart?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

No Mount Weather is a real thing, supposed to keep top government official safe in event of major natural or human made disaster including nuclear war.
