Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

DC can't keep any of their shows in-synch. Remember Barry disappeared to (and returned from) his adventures with Supergirl after they already happened on the latter show.

I agree that being tied to the flash-forwards made for some weird personality shifts on Arrow last week. But yeah, I can only assume last week's episode of Arrow takes place after Barry gets back from Speed Purgatory (or where ever he got zapped to) next week.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Henry's mother's maiden name was Garrick. That has to be a clue, right?

It HAS to be. This show is not good at subtle.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Maybe the man in the mask is Henry II, who changed his name to Jay Garrick for reasons and was the original Earth II Flash, captured by Zoom who then stole his identity.

It's an old DC thing. Clark was Ma Kent's maiden name.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Henry II as in Henry Plantagenet, King of England? Is Eleanor d'Aquitaine there, too? I would watch the heck outta that!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Henry II as in Henry Plantagenet, King of England? Is Eleanor d'Aquitaine there, too? I would watch the heck outta that!

They fight crime and bicker incessantly about the succession!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Watching last night's Flash now. I had not taken notice last week that Tom Cavanaugh whispers that whole build another particle accelerator line to Barry. Good Lord, Tom Cavanaugh whispering is my new aesthetic.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I feel like The Flash is just a mess these days. Building a new particle accelerator is not a good plan, and they go back and forth between referring to S1 "Wells" as Wells or Thawne depending on what the plot calls for as if they're interchangeable. Like Earth 2 Wells feeling guilty about what the other him did, even though his real Earth 1 counterpart was an innocent man based on what we know so far.

They couldn't get Constantine back for Arrow? Weak.

I feel like The Flash is just a mess these days.

Thinking about the timeline of the funeral on Arrow, given the fact that Barry is on some other Earth now, I think Laurel's funeral was supposed to have happened before Barry lost his speed.

Yeah, they just suck at crossovers. Not the episodes themselves but making them line up in any way.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

No Constantine? Damn. I really liked that show.
