Oh, sweet Jesus. What the shit happened to this show?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Well, ONE good thing came out of this season - Tom Mison's hair. That's all I can say ... although it was good to see Clancy Brown once more.
She's been stuck in the place Abby was stuck at.
She was stuck in the catacombs, but she returned to her own time.
I still can't believe she wasn't supposed to be a modern day person marooned in the past somehow. Was the actress (or "actress") related to one of the show's higher-ups?
No Betsy went back to the past.
Supergirl:
Pretty meh episode for me. Way too much Non and Indigo chewing scenery for my taste.
Also, Alex was holding the idiot ball in this episode. (Though her and J'onn's disguise was good.)
there's some kind of scene either right before she dies or with her ghost where she tells Crane that it was OK, that her role was to support him or help him transition to the modern world or something like that
This, at least, did not happen. Tumblr gets carried away sometimes. She mostly just tells him that she's at peace and he should carry on without her.
Having just watched, I think the argument can be made that it did happen. Abby says something like her role was like everyone else's to get Crane where he needed to be and now she's done that and can move on.
OK. Saw finale of Magicians. I'm trying to figure out why I'm hooked on this. Not fun trash, but not actually good either. Yet I keep watching and its not hate watching.
Also: I totally called it on Martin being the beast. I suppose it was too obvious for me to have much in the way of boasting rights. Question: has anyone read the books? Are they better than the TV show?
In terms of my Grim prediction, while not absolutely ruled out, the stick's nature seems to be heading in a different direction than "true cross'. For lack of anything better I'll leave my Persians on "true cross".
Abby says something like her role was like everyone else's to get Crane where he needed to be and now she's done that and can move on.
I saw what Tep saw. I totally heard Abby say her mission had been accomplished by getting Ichabod where he needed to go.
Which totally flew in the face of the entire "There will always be two witnesses" scheme.
I can't remember who said it up thread but that person was totally right...it reeked of 'potentials waiting to be enwitnessed.
I will not rank Sleepy Hollow's lost potential on the same level as Lost's, but damn if it isn't up there.
Typo, I'm not consistently watching the Magicians, but I listened to the books and find the series to be of a similar quality.
I had the same sort of 'why do I keep on with this when I don't really like these people?' feeling about it, but was compelled to soldier on.
I think a couple of the character changes, and a significant time shift plot choice were really good decisions. The casting, except for some Hermoine-esque changes in Alice, were shockingly true to my images of the characters.
Not sure if I'll follow through if it comes back.
