Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Captain Cold back on The Flash.
Man, I want that SO MUCH.
Last night's Legend of Tomorrow was...ridiculous. Basically, the team (or just Rip, I'd argue) made the timeline *worse.*
Hawkman is horrible even in flashbacks. Savage is just...uninteresting. I like the episodes without Savage so much better than the ones with him. If the show got rid of Savage and Rip, I'd like it a lot more.
(I'm not hate-watching, really. I love Captain Cold and Sara, and I really enjoy Martin Stein and Ray, and I'm fine with Jax and Kendra. But Rip needs to be kicked out of an airlock, preferably with Savage.)
Ray and Kendra's epic love is so boring.
About Arrow, I swear these people do kind of deserve what happens to them. "We have the idol that's the source of all of Dahrk's powers! Let's keep it in the bunker that LITERALLY EVERYONE has walked into! We'll just add some extra security, because that will definitely work with Malcolm, who was called out IN THIS EPISODE about being able to get into places. And the one item we're taking out of the idol -- Diggle can just hide that in his apartment, right?"
Diggle can just hide that in his apartment, right?
From what Andrew said -- something about following Diggle wherever he went -- I didn't think it *was* in the apartment. Because that would be too dumb a move for Diggle. I don't think he'd put Sara and Lyla at risk like that.
Yeah, I couldn't understand why they wouldn't just hide all the pieces in different locations.
I guess I can see why chartering a boat to drop the pieces in various remote ocean locations might not be a plan Oliver would sign off on...
I have actually forgotten why they can't just destroy the damn thing, but I'm sure it was mentioned in a flashback, and zzzzzzzzzz.
I don't know that they actually discussed why they couldn't destroy it. It took Vixen pounding on it with gorilla power to crack it originally, but we were never told why they couldn't blow it up or melt it acid or anything like that.
My handwave would be you need magic to destroy it (so Mari fit the bill in breaking it originally) but that still doesn't explain them piecing it back together and sticking it in a plastic case in the Bunker. (Other than maybe Ollie trying to emulate Batman and keeping souvenirs of his enemies in his lair.)
sticking it in a plastic case in the Bunker
At the very least, maybe a case that isn't transparent.
This is where is start my cheer of la-zy wri-ting ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘.
