My nomination for worst age make-up on TV EVER--Ollie on LoT. IJS. I may be through with this show, I dunno.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
It's hard to stop watching a train wreck.
My nomination for worst age make-up on TV EVER--Ollie on LoT.
Sorta makes you nostalgic for Liam's wig.
It's not a good show. When it focuses on Sara, Cold, Mick, and Ray it's fine, but they've done very little to make me care about the others. Rip Hunter has absolutely no idea what he's doing, does he? He's totally useless and needs to join Carter in Valhalla. The villains have been awful.
I was doing something during the Soviet prison scenes, and every time Brandon Routh spoke I looked up expecting to see Christopher Reeve.
I did like Professor Stein's byplay with the Soviet scientist. And the fact that even when not merged into Firestorm he's in no danger from high radiation, which could come in handy again.
So, I am dumbfounded by the Zoom reveal.
A week ago, when I was flailing in Natter, I was prepared for this reveal. I thought the Jay who was on our Earth was also Zoom, like a "we never see them in the same room together!" Like, I thought the whole thing with him and Caitlin and that magic serum was him scamming her to get more speed force.
But then something happened that made it clear that wasn't possible, in terms of timing, so I thought I was wrong. Except I was still kinda right.
I suspect that Zoom's prisoner is Jay from another Earth.
LoT is terrible, but I am still watching. I love Captain Cold. Like, an unhealthy amount. Also, I'm somewhat amused about how awful Rip is at... everything. Including being a human being.

I have those same feels. Although I haven't watched since episode 3. But I do want to watch last week's episode for one-armed old man Ollie.
Arthur Darvill was so charming as Rory, and is so... not as Rip Hunter. It's like he had a charisma-ectomy.
An actor can only do so much with the writing and directing, but I like everyone enough that I will keep watching.
