Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Supergirl

The dialogue was a lot less clunky this week and I enjoyed the episode as a whole, but Kara getting mad at Jimmy for calling in Supes and saving her life seemed really odd after last week's episode being all about being able to depend on others is a good thing. I mean, I understand she was angry about Cat's article and is trying to get out of her cousin's shadow, but Jimmy doesn't make that call and she's dead.

ETA: Her reaction would have been far more understandable had she merely been on the ropes and then Superman showed up and got in the way.

msbelle, wrong thread. AoS goes over in Marvel. (And I agree with you, totally!)

My recording borked about 20 minutes into AoS, so I'll have to catch it on demand tomorrow.

As for Flash, I found the bit with Linda trying to learn how to be Dr. Light pretty amusing.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

REALLY liked Arrow tonight.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yes, REALLY good. Even in the best episodes, there's usually some bit of clunky plotting or awkward characterization, but everything worked tonight.

Yeah, Zoom is freaking terrifying. I'm less judgey about Jay Garrick being afraid of him now.

There's a lot of internet speculation that Zoom is Earth-2 Barry Allen, but his eyes look a LOT like Hank Allen. THAT would be a spectacular mindfuck.
