A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Right there with you.

I really hope that "thanks for cleaning up after me" business from Pandora pays off because that is some ominous shit.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Best episode of Sleepy Hollow this season by far IMHO, even if it wasn't at all geared to my Ichabbie-shipping heart.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I don't know why this didn't occur to me before... I think Crane set the stage for whatever it is Pandora is doing by smuggling that tablet into Sleepy Hollow. Somehow it freed her or clued her in to the location for her tree portal or something.

Jenny's new destiny looks a little ominous.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Jenny's new destiny looks a little ominous.

You have a gift for understatement.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Doctor Who: anyone else disappointed that no one, in either episode, came out with the line "Let Zygons be Zygons"?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

No.

I did like this episode better than the previous one, which was a pleasant change from the pattern of the second half falling flat after a good beginning.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dresden Files

It took me a while to get used to the TV show but I ended up really liking it. Bob was totally different, but, as Kalshane said, he works on the show. It was canceled right as it started to reach its potential. I'd recommend giving it another try, Tep.

Doctor Who

Holy shit, Peter Capaldi. I was almost teary.

The only one that really fell down, I thought, was Before the Flood. The others did let the first half down somewhat, but still had something worthwhile. But yes, this one was excellent. I loved what they did with the Osgood box. It felt like a mix of the two writers. Moffat loves his puzzles and twists, and judging by Kill the Moon, Harness likes his big emotional scenes. (And this is no doubt YMMV, but I thought the point it made about the nature of war was pretty valid, and not entirely obvious. I'm currently reading Steven Pinker's The Better Angels of our Nature, and he makes a similar point when discussing the distribution of the duration and intensity of wars.)

Holy shit, Peter Capaldi. I was almost teary.

Seriously though. I think I still rank his "You betrayed me" scene with Clara in Dark Water more highly, but that's about the only one.
