And Barry's dad deciding to immediately leave town after getting out of prison felt more like an actor/budget thing than any remotely logical story beat.

Especially given that, unless he's moving to a different continent, Barry can run over to visit almost as easily as if he'd stayed in the city.

I have head cannon that Barry used to regularly drop by Felicity's place and they'd eat pizza and commiserate on their odd lives.

The more I think about it, the more the causal villain killing bugs me. I hope they address it at some point, especially after last season's insistence on showing and telling us how much brighter the world Barry lives in is compared to Ollie's.
