Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You know what sucks about being a Doctor Who fan? When "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" comes on the radio, can't crank up the volume and enjoy it anymore. Oh, no, I get creeped the fuck out and have to change the station.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

DW 4x09: Looks like the TWOP poster was right on.

However, what a gut punch, for an ep in which few people actually die die, to see that stutter prevent Donna from being with her man. Will they cross paths again? Mayhap that's how Donna leaves the doctor. I don't want to think of a sad way.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

ita, I like that idea for Donna's eventual departure. Maybe River's reaction to Donna was due to her knowing the effect Donna's departure had on the Doctor. Yes, that's grasping at straws on my part, but I want a happy ending for Donna.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

DW 4.09:

Loved the "Look me up." Essence of the Doctor.

I do hope that Donna finds Lee, or vice versa. I want that to be the only way she leaves the Doctor. Of course, with this show, what's the chance of that happening?

River Song knows the Doctor's name! I wanna know the Doctor's name! And how sad that he was only able to "save" her, but fitting.

I loved the fingersnap. I hope we see that in further episodes.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So Jenny gets to regenerate but doesn't get new personhood? Interesting. Did enjoy the episode a lot. My Donna love grows and my Martha love remains undiminished. I am VERY curious who her fiance and/or husband is, though.
