When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I loved Missy getting ticked about how Davros is the Doctor's arch-nemesis.

I lost it at her "I'll scratch his eye out" remark!

That "maximum extermination" order may come back to bite the Daleks on their metallic assess, though. The Doctor's morality is largely responsible for them not having been wiped out of existence long ago; Missy suffers no such handicap, and as "The Sounds of Drums"/"Last of the Time Lords" demonstrate she's not particularly concerned with preserving history as it should have transpired either.

Love. It.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

TARDIS Eruditorum review of The Magician's Apprentice: [link] I'm largely in agreement (Cliff notes: it was a most enjoyable spectacle).

Ryan was freaked enough at the opening scene to need some reassurances before he was willing to risk sleep. He and I were to watch it again tonight, but he decided he needed one night's cooldown away from freakish zombie hands THAT REACH UP OUT OF THE GROUND AND DRAG YOU UNDER AND TURN TO WATCH YOU AND ARE ALWAYS WAITING WAITING WAITING AIEEEEE. So we watched David Attenborough's Galapagos instead.

Oh, one obscure callback: in Genesis of the Daleks, when the TARDIS crew is noting the wide range of technology being used in the Thal-Kaled war (as the two sides gradually grind each other back towards the Stone Age), Harry makes the comment that at this rate, they'd soon be back to fighting with bows and arrows.

In conclusion, let me say: "We're a democracy." Ten points to Slytherin.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If I'm rewatching Twin Peaks, do I want to watch Fire, Walk With Me before or after the regular series?

Does it do any good to answer this a month later? I'd watch if after (if at all - it is seriously disturbing) since it's full of information they're discovering during the series.

Thrive to spite them

I finally watched Z Nation, which I guess goes here. Well I fastforwarded through some of the grosser parts but I'm caught up via netflix and other means.

It held my interest better than Walking Dead.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The new season of Gotham has started.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Well, if anyone on the BBC payroll is going to be writing obscure Dalek callbacks into this show, it's Beryl Vertue's son-in-law.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Minority Report was ok. It reminds me a lot of Almost Human from last season, but maybe it will fare better.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Was Almost Human officially cancelled? If so, too bad. I really liked it.
