Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The NDA I had to sign before the premiere screening means I can't say, well, technically anything, but I think I can get away with mentioning that the first two eps are REALLY good. Poor Stephen Moffat can't help himself where his favorite tropes are concerned, and so there will be some eye-rolling, but overall this is LOADS better than last season already.
(I shudder to think what the result would be if Moffat and Joss ever collaborated. It would be the most addictively watchable internet-rage-inducing assortment of irresistible brainy waifs and mainpain-filled everymen ever collected on one screen.)
That's really reassuring, Jessica. I won't lie. I've been worried.

It is unseemly how much this made me laugh.
Watching Doctor Who now and REALLY liking this premiere. Sheds some interesting light on the Doctor's relationship with the Master I tell you what.
I loved Missy getting ticked about how Davros is the Doctor's arch-nemesis. Why do I get the feeling this is going to come down to "If I don't get to kill him, NOBODY gets to kill him!!!!"
Dammit! As if my week wasn't bad enough, for some reason my DVR thought Doctor Who was a 43 minute show. Got the repeat set up with extra time but seriously annoying.
That sucks, Frank. It was to be continued fwiw.
This was definitely the best episode of Doctor Who in a good long while.
I think there might be a small chance that BBCA could possibly rerun this episode some time in the near future.

No, I've already got the 1AM repeat set up with extra time, but it annoys me that for whatever reason the DVR thought it was going to only be 43 minutes. Makes no sense even in the UK. Isn't it an hour without commercials over there?
