Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That photo made me make a noise. We need to bring that style of men's trousers back into fashion.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

OK, I had dropped the show last season in frustration, but they've upped the hotness ante enough to make me give it another try.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The one of Crane buttoning his cuffs

YES.

I watched the pilot of the new Minority Report show last night, which also features a young black policewoman and a fish-out-of-water white guy with surprisingly relevant information, but within about three minutes of watching it, I just shook my head and said "she's no Abbie Mills." (It was pretty awful. I don't recommend it.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We need to bring that style of men's trousers back into fashion.

Crane would have worn breeches instead of trousers, right?

He can call them whatever he wants to.

As I understand it, breeches are knee-length, trousers longer. So, for purposes of the image in question, whichever, though I'm pretty sure he wears breeches, trousers being more of a 19th century thing.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We need to bring that style of men's trousers back into fashion.

We need to bring that style of MAN back ... to me, preferably.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The movie our friend is working on in Vancouver is in the same studio as The Flash. When we were up there last weekend, I didn't see any of the Flash set, but I did see Central City police cars and the coroner's van parked in the lot. Our pal knows the Flash propmaster and he reports that they work crazy hours, but that it is a very happy set.
