Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Pleasepleaseplease let Lumley & McCallum have at least cameo roles!
I am exceedingly fond of The Toast's take on Black Mirror. (I had "what if phones, but too much" as my tagline for a while.)
Personally, I thought each individual episode was excellent (mostly), but I started to roll my eyes at the overall themes pretty quickly. You know how it would be a good idea for someone to pull the Wachowski siblings aside and reassure them that, probably, the future of humanity won't be as a source of fuel/food for our inevitable overlords? I want to have a similar conversation with the Black Mirror producers, who seem to be deeply concerned that in the future, violent pornography will not only be everywhere, it will be mandatory.
I just worked up the courage to watch the second episode of "Black Mirror", I'm starting to lean toward the idea that this series might just be brilliant. (Very, very dark, but I seriously can't look away!)
I loooooove Black Mirror and tell people to watch it all the time. I was even on a podcast.
You think if I didn't see the first two Sharknados I'll be able to follow the third one?
There's a third Sharknado?!
<runs off to google>
Ann Coulter is in it? Sorry Thunder, I'ma gonna skip this one.
Camper van Beethoven apparently did a song for it.
Killjoys: I kinda love that John really is Lucy's favorite. Interesting premise this week.
Dark Matter: Arrakis! I like the exploration of memory in this one.
I might try watching the next Geeks with Drinks. I'm not sure I'm into it in and of itself, but Alan Tudyk.
Tatiana got an Emmy nod finally. About fucking (or cloning) time!
